For example, Ninja’s manager and wife Jessica Blevins replied to DrLupo’s Twitter statement, claiming that xQc’s claim was “trash,” and pointing out that such payments would be against FTC regulations. In response, theTwitchstreamer accused Blevins of “halfass listen[ing] to the clip” and virtue signaling with her unsolicited opinions. The two proceeded to trade personal insults, with Blevins accusing xQc of sexism after he dismissed her as a person living off of Ninja’s fame and success. At that point, Ninja chimed in to defend “the amount of work” Jessica does, and the “hundreds of thousands” they had raised for charity justifies any expensive purchases she made.
Several streamers chimed in on the conversation, includingTwitch leaker Rod Breslau, who joked that the feud should be settled in a 4-way charity tournament. But when Twitch streamer Alinity chimed in with a joke that she would not bet on Team Ninja, the angry ex-Mixer creator jabbed at her by bringing up her past animal abuse accusations. As Ninja mockingly asked why she couldn’t take a joke, Alinity quickly left the argument, calling Ninja “the most toxic person in gaming.”
In the aftermath, xQc addressed DrLupo directly. He addressed the fact that the discussion “went out of control,” and clarified that he and his audience understood that most reputable charities do not operate under the table. TheFortnitestreamer responded by apologizing for not watching the clip in thecontext of the full Twitch stream.
Although one element of this massive streamer spat ended peacefully, it is clear thatboth Ninja and his wifestill hold a grudge against xQc. Between Ninja’s other Twitter rivalries and his expensive departure from Mixer, it is clear that all eyes in the streaming community will remain on him for some time to come.
