Compared to other months, it seemsXbox Game Passmay hit a dry spell at the end of this month. Microsoft revealed newXbox Game Pass updates today, including the addition ofShadowrun TrilogyandTotal War: Three New Kingdoms, but it didn’t announce anything else for June after the 23rd. Fans already knowFIFA 22andNaraka: Bladepointare coming to the service then, but afterward, it’s a little empty.
It’s uncertain if there’s somethingXbox Game Passis keeping any secret additions hidden, but it’s odd to see a full week of the month without any newly-confirmed games. It wouldn’t be as odd if Xbox Game Pass didn’t announce a new July game, but it did.

Coming to Xbox Game Pass on Cloud, Console, and PC on July 1 isFar Cry 5. Several Ubisoft games have been coming to Xbox Game Pass, slowly but surely, such asAssassin’s Creed OriginsandFor Honor. It’s no surprise to seeFar Cry 5follow in their footsteps. As many know, players take on the role of a “deputy” in this game, where they attempt to foil the plans of Joseph Seed and his cult.Far Cry: New Dawnis a direct sequel, if also a spin-off, of this entry andJoseph Seed also appears inFar Cry 6’s DLC.
While the announcement today is a little bare-boned compared to the usual, there are still a few Game Pass titles already lined up for July. AfterFar Cry 5, Last Call BBSwill release on July 5,Matchpoint: Tennis Championshipson July 7,As Dusk Fallson July 19, andImmortalityon July 26. The last three will be available for both console and July users.
Either way, fans can reasonably expect more information about Xbox Game Pass titles in the coming days, including hopefully those for later this month and more July games too.
