World of Warcraftplayers will likely spend the coming days and weeks racing towards the new level cap of 120. Once there, players then gear up and start preparing for Mythic Dungeons and Raids. Some fans say this is where the real game begins.

TheBattle for Azerothpre-patchbrought some serious changes toWorld of Warcraft’sclasses that definitely threw the usual DPS rankings on their head. The changes have created a whole new meta game and players interested in staying at the top of the DPS charts might need to consider respec’ing or rerolling a new class entirely.

Here’s a look at the current DPS rankings, courtesy of Noxxic, for both single and multi-target encounters…

Single Target

Three Targets

If you see your spec of choice towards the bottom of the tables, don’t go deleting your character just yet, there’s a lot to keep in mind. First off, classes are constantly being tweaked, buffed, and nerfed. We’ll likely see this chart shake up a lot in the coming weeks and months afterthe Battle for Azeroth launch.

Additionally, these damage simulations assume that every class is being played nearly perfectly. That’s rarely the case in reality, so if you’re a great Fire Mage there’s still a high chance you’ll out DPS a mediocre Arcane Mage just based on skill.
