We’re Getting a New World of Discworld Graphic Novels

As recently announced by publishers Transworld and Puffin, fans will soon get to enjoy a new"Discworld Graphic Novel Universe.“The new project kicks off on August 01, 2025 with an adaptation ofThief of Time, coming from Pratchett, Gary Chudleigh and Rachael Stott. The book sees the cosmic bureaucrats known as the Auditors freeze time, with Death, his granddaughter Susan Sto Helit, and History Monks Lu-Tze and Lobsang Ludd fighting to set things right.Thief of Timewill be followed in Fall 2026 byMonstrous Regiment, adapted by Jon Wood and a TBA artist, andThe Wee Free Men,adapted by Rhianna Pratchettand a TBA artist.

The Discworld has tried comic adaptations before, including versions ofThe Light Fantastic,Small GodsandGuards! Guards!While these books show the promise of adapting Terry Pratchett’s world with sequential art, they adapted the franchise’s earlier stories, generally seen as the books that least showcase what Discworld has to offer. Transworld and Puffin aren’t making the same mistake, beginning with later, standalone adventures from Discworld’s prime.
