Wednesdayseason 2 will take a closer look at the Addams Family and their unique gifts, but one family member remains an enigma. After its initial release on Netflix shattered records in 2022,Wednesday,starring Jenna Ortega, is returning for season 2 in 2025. And while fans can’t wait to see Ortega return to Nevermore to wreak more mayhem and mischief, things will be different since Wednesday is not returning alone. With her younger brother Pugsley also in attendance, this season is certain to be more of a family affair.
In fact, the trailer revealed many of the rest of the Addams Family appearing in this season alongside Wednesday, and even provided a glimpse into the strange and mysterious powers other members of the family possess. Season 1 revealed that Wednesday is a psychic, whose powers allow her to communicate with the dead, see visions of the past, and make things happen with just her mind. AndPugsley appears to possess powers that allow him to conduct and wield electricity. But not all the Addams Family’s powers have been revealed.
Wednesday Season 2 Needs To Reveal What Gomez’s Powers Are
Gomez Is The Only Addams Without Powers Revealed So Far
As far as powers are concerned, it appears that the Addams all have special gifts, and in most instances, they appear to be genetic. For Wednesday, herpsychic powers appear to be passed down from her mother, who similarly experiences visions. And for Pugsley, his electric conductivity and discharge is also a power that he shares with his uncle Fester. But Gomez, Wednesday’s father, has not showcased any distinct powers thus far in the series.
It is possible that he could also have electric powers, likehis brother Fester Addams, and his son Pugsley, but nothing in the series has suggested this is the case. Despite this, he was a student at Nevermore, which suggests he possesses some supernatural gift, and resides in this world filled with monsters and mysterious creatures. It’s also possible that the show is reserving revealing his powers to highlight them in an important moment during season 2. But itwould be odd for the patriarch of the family to have no special giftswhen all of his relatives do.

When Wednesday saw her parents in a vision at Nevermore during their school days, she saw Gomez wielding a sword. This could suggest that he has some supernatural gift as a swordsman and duelist, but that remains to be seen. However, it does seem likely thatseason 2 ofWednesdaywill dive deeper into the powers that the other Addams Family members possess in order to expand their characters and reveal why they are a part of the outcast group.
