What This Means For Tracker
Randy Is Becoming A More Important Character
While Randy, who is Bobby’s cousin, is a new recurring character on the show, he has so far been in every episode of the series since his debut in season 2, episode 10, “Nightingale.” This includes the most recent episode, which wasTrackerseason 2, episode 16, “The Mercy Seat.“He is slowly becoming a more and more prominent character, to the point that “Memories” is set to be a Randy-centric episode. In addition to his appearance in this clip, this includes a more prominent role in the plot. Read the official synopsis of the episode below:
Randy enlists Colter’s services for his ex after her best friend goes missing following a night on the town in Reno.

This could indicate that the show is building up to have Chris Lee join the main cast of the upcomingTrackerseason 3, which was renewed in February. While it is unclear exactly what the character’s fate will be by the end of the season, his potential future longevity is teased by a seemingly throwaway line from the clip, whenhe says that “every Batman gotta have his Robin.“This could indicate that his role will continue to increase in prominence, potentially making him the first main series regular to board the show since season 1.
Our Take On The Tracker Clip
It Is An Exemplar Of The Entire Show
This scene is a perfect encapsulation of whyTrackerhas been able to capture such a wide audience over the course of its first two seasons. While it is jam-packed with comic moments due to the mismatched dynamic between Colter and Randy, Hartley’s performance consistently underlines how high the stakes of his latest mission are. Additionally, the plot continues to move along at a rapid clip while the scene balances both of these tones, propelling the high-octane thrill ride that the show has proven itself to be.
Trackerseason 2 airs on CBS on Sundays at 8:00 p.m. PT/ET.
