American actorTitus Welliveris set to star in two new thrilling crime dramas, which should potentially end one of the most disappointing streaks of his television career. Titus Welliver began his acting career in 1990, and has since become recognized for his roles in various television shows, includingDeadwood(2004-2006), andBosch(2014-2021) and its sequel series,Bosch: Legacy(2022-2025).
Welliver has also received recognition for his frequent collaborations with Ben Affleck, having made appearances in several movies alongside the actor, includingGone Baby Gone(2007),The Town(2010),Argo(2012), andLive By Night(2016). InWelliver’s first post-Bosch: Legacyrole, he will star in the psychological horror,Abraham’s Boys: A Dracula Story, scheduled for release on August 12, 2025.

Simmons and guest star in a newBoschspinoff show,Ballard, alongside Maggie Q, and John Carroll Lynch. Titus Welliver’s Last 3 TV Shows Were Cancelled Too Soon
Titus Welliver Starred In Bosch: Legacy, Titans & The Equalizer
Between 2022 and 2025, Welliver had roles in three separate TV shows. InBosch: Legacy, he played the lead role ofHarry Bosch, based on the novels by Michael Connolly, reprising his role from the originalBoschseries. Welliver also appeared in season 4 of the superhero drama,Titans, playing the iconic Lex Luthor, and in an episode ofThe Equalizer, as Elijah Reed.
Although each show was well-received by critics and viewers, and Welliver was praised for his performances, all three shows were canceled by producers. His crime drama,Bosch: Legacy, was reportedly canceled in 2025due to financial reasons. Considering Welliver’s success in each performance, it’s disappointing that each show ended up being cancelled.

The Westies & Ballard Need To Give Titus Welliver More Shows With Proper Endings Again
His Characters Would Be Allowed Closure That Wasn’t Given In His Other Shows
Although Welliver’s character, Harry Bosch, ended on a dark note inBosch:Legacy, there ishope that his upcoming series,Ballard, will give him the ending that he deserves. Welliver will return to the franchise as Bosch inBallard, and his appearance in the sequel series may finally bring closure to his character.
Welliver will return to theBoschfranchise inBallard.
Welliver’s upcoming appearances in bothBallardandThe Westiesare exciting, but both shows should be allowed to end on their own accord to allow a realistic ending to the story. The cancellation of Welliver’s previous three shows meant that his characters weren’t given the proper closure they deserved.
While his storylines inThe WestiesandBallardare yet to be confirmed, there is hope that if both series are given a natural ending, they will be able to break the cancellation streak across Welliver’s television career.
