The third Robin, Tim is considered by many fans to be the definitive version of Batman’s sidekick, with his world-class detective skills, engineering genius and iconic bo staff truly making the role his own.
Now,Tim Drake’s Robin is being transformed forImmortal Legend Batman, coming soon from Kyle Higgins, Mat Groom, Erica D’Urso, Igor Monti and Becca Carey. The series will see the Bat-Family wear new costumes powered by supernatural darkness, seemingly enhancing their normal physiology and abilities.
Immortal Legend Batmantakes placein an alternate universe where humanity has tapped into a shadow dimension, using it to power advanced tech. When the denizens of the shadow dimension attack Earth, Batman outfits himself, Nightwing and Robin to fight back. Robin’s new design shows epic armor in his signature colors, a retractable cape, and a bold new logo.

Previews for the issue show Drake on a bridge with a technologically-advanced Gotham behind him, while Bruce broods in a boardroom packed with digital readouts.

Even as Robin goes full Power Ranger, his mainstream costume is also getting a stylish upgrade. DC’s upcomingBatman #1- from Matt Fraction and Jorge Jiménez - isgiving Tim Drake a new look, including a chunky new ‘R’ logo. Designs shared by Jiménez show Robin with a striking red and yellow outfit, including a gadget-laden utility belt housing Drake’s new bo staff.
Issue summaries for the new series show Robin will be front and center in the comic’s first arc, confirming that Tim Drake is returning to his hard-won status as a major presence inBatman. With this happening at the same time as he’s transformed into a sci-fi warrior inImmortal Legend Batman, it seems that 2025 will see a career renaissance for Tim Drake’sRobin.
