The crime-fighting heroes acted as spokespersons for their respective brands within the anime; the reason branding was involved is believed to be a social commentary on consumerism and celebrity culture. Aside from the original anime, there are also two movies, a manga and asequel series that premiered on NetflixcalledTIGER & BUNNY 2. In the manga as well as episodes streamed on Netflix, all branding images were removed. However, action figures were allowed to keep the branding accurate to the original anime.
Some members of the live-action adaptation have been confirmed. The executive producers will be Masayuki Ozaki, as he was forthe seriesTIGER & BUNNY 2. Sidney Kimmel, the writer M. Raven Metzner, and Testuya Fujimura, the producer for multiple live-action anime adaptations such asGhost in the Shell,Tekken, and the recentCowboy BebopNetflix adaptation.
