Big Brother 27host Julie Chen Moonves has a warning for a houseguest whom she called a curse rather than a blessing for her alliance member.
In an interview withEW,Julie admitted that she thought Amy’s friendship and alliance with Rachel was more of a curse than a blessingafter Amy wondered the same thing during the game. Later, after she was evicted, Amy told Julie that she thought that her friendship with Rachel really hurt her game.
Julie explained,“I think it was more of a curse. She would’ve been seen as a weak player who isn’t a threat.Instead, she was seen as a number and shield for Rachel.”
Julie then issued a warning to Rachel, stating that she has to winin order to keep herself safe. She said,“She needs to start winning competitions now to guarantee her safety. Losing Amy may be the first Jenga piece that loosens her footing in the house.”
What Rachel Reilly Alliance Being A Curse Means For Big Brother
Rachel Will Always Be On Shaky Ground
Now that Rachel’s closest ally, Amy, has been evicted from theBig Brother 27house,she’ll have to rely on her Heavy Hitters alliance for safety. The Heavy Hitters alliance consists of Jimmy Heagerty, Morgan Pope, Rylie Jeffries, Vince Panaro, Zach Cornell, and Rachel.
Although Rachel revealed in her Diary Room confessional that she didn’t really want to work with the Heavy Hitters and her true loyalty was with Amy, now that Amy’s gone,Rachel will have to depend on them for safety if she doesn’t win competitions. As a returning winner, she’ll always have a target on her back, which means that she’ll always be on shaky ground in the game.
Now that Amy has been evicted because she was a vote for Rachel, Rachel will be seen as even more of a curse. Her fellow houseguests won’t want to be associated with her becausethey’ll fear that they could face the same fate as Amy for being her ally.
Our Take On Julie Chen Moonves' Warning For Rachel Reilly
Rachel Has To Win Competitions To Ensure Her Own Safety
Julie is absolutely right that Rachel has to start winningBig Brother 27competitions in order to keep herself safe. The houseguests previously thought that whatever Rachel wants, Rachel gets, but now that they’ve seen that wasn’t the case with saving Amy,they know she’s not as powerful as she wants them to think she is.
Even Rachel herself was probably surprised that she couldn’t persuade her fellow housegueststo keep Amy in the game. She didn’t even throw her a sympathy vote in the end but, instead, allowed it to be a unanimous vote. So far,Rachel has depended on her strategyof distracting the younger contestants with showmances, but she’s going to have to step up her game now that Amy’s gone.
In addition, Jimmy, who’s in her Heavy Hitters alliance, declared that he was gunning for Rachel when she first entered the house. Although he’s since backed off, it’s always possible that he could try to turn the house against her in the future. The only way for Rachel to guarantee her safety is to win competitions, especially HOH. If she does, thenshe has the potential to become the first two-timeBig Brotherwinner.
