In celebration of the 10th anniversary ofThe Witcherseries, CD Projekt RED debuted a five-minute long “Behind the Scenes” blooper video forThe Witcher 3during its PAX West 2017 panel. It has been more than two years sinceThe Witcher 3first launched, but CD Projekt RED has been saving some of its funniest material. This anniversary event was the studio’s opportunity to share those behind the scenes shots from the third entry in the series, a fun break from the likely intensedevelopment ofCyberpunk 2077.

Within the video are a variety of comedic sequences from motion capture, awkward voice and audio recording sessions, joke clips made just for fun, and plenty of bugs. Most of the technical errors inThe Witcher 3look to have come from mid-development, where CD Projekt RED made a mistake implementing something and then recorded it for posterity. Five minutes wouldn’t have been enough to hold all of the bugs if they put a video together featuring those found by fans post-launch.

The two-hour long PAX West panel forThe Witcher’s 10th anniversary was packed full of fun content. The panel featured a long discussion with CD Projekt Red founder Marcin Iwiński and several key members of theWitcherdevelopment team from the franchise’s past. Each of the three main series games' development was delved into by the panel, on top of interesting details about the studio and development in Poland in general.

Interestingly enough, the panel went well beyond simple discussion. Not only was this five-minute behind the scenes trailer released, but clips fromThe Witchermid-development were also shared. The highlight of the full event was a shortThe Witcher 3cinematic videomade just for the anniversary event. In the short cinematic video, Geralt is celebrating his birthday, and many of the major characters from the franchise are there to celebrate. Geralt thanks players and wishes them well, saying goodbye once more.

The Witcher 3is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
