One of the most requestedThe Walking Deadcrossovers has been withDead by Daylight, and it is finally coming.Dead by Daylighthas some of the biggest crossovers of any multiplayer game. From horror films likeA Nightmare on Elm StreetandChild’s Playto video games likeResident EvilandSilent Hill,DBDhas become a celebration of all things horror. After years of fan requests, one of the biggest pieces of horror entertainment is coming toDBDthis month.

Announced by the officialDead By DaylightX account, the next crossover for the game will be centered onThe Walking Dead. More information will be revealed tomorrow. The development roadmap previously detailed by developer Behavior Interactive confirmed that a second licensed chapter would occur in July after the JuneFive Nights at Freddy’s crossover.

It’s Coming In July And There Are Two Survivors

Based on the aforementioned roadmap, the crossover withThe Walking Deadis expected sometime this month, likely near the middle or end, like previous chapters. The roadmap also detailed that this July chapter would feature two survivors, no killer, and an update to the Rift. It appears that there won’t be a newWalking Deadkiller introduced, and the focus will be on the main characters fromTWDinstead. Recently,Springtrap fromFNAFjoined the killer rosterwith no new survivors, so this is pretty typical forDBDcontent strategy.

As far as who the two survivors are, we can only speculate right now. Daryl Dixon, portrayed by actor Norman Reedus, remains one of the most popularTWDcharacters, and is also the focus of theThe Walking Dead: Daryl Dixontv series spin-off(which is still ongoing, unlikeThe One Who Lives), and with Norman Reedus no stranger to appearing in video games,it seems fairly likely that one of the survivors could be Daryl. The other survivor seems likely to be female, and it could be a toss-up between Maggie, Carol, and Michonne for that slot.

The Amount Of Cross-Over Content Seems Endless

DBDhas relied on horror crossovers for a long time, and fans seem to not be able to get enough of it, makingDBDtheasymmetrical horror game. With original chapters being developed as well,DBDhas become a horror slasher sandbox of sorts. There isn’t another game in which players can play as Pyramid Head fromSilent Hill 2and chase down Laurie Strode from theHalloweenfilms. BeforeFNAFand this upcomingTWDchapter, we also got the game’s firstanime crossover withTokyo Ghoul, so the possibilities are virtually endless.

TWDhas plenty of great characters, so there could be even more TWDchapters in the future if this one does well, similar to howResident Evilhas gotten two chapters (and they were two of the most well-received ones). We don’t have long to wait to see who these two survivors are and if any additional character-swapping cosmetics are coming, as new information about theTWDDead By Daylightcrossover will be announced tomorrow.
