With the release of the second season of his Apple TV+ show, multi-hypenate Hollywood starSeth Rogennow appears in two 2025 comedy shows that boast a nearly perfect Rotten Tomatoes score. Since his big break in Judd Apatow’sKnocked Up, which remains one ofSeth Rogen’s best movies, the star has continued to prove to audiences that he can do it all.
Rogan has succeeded as a writer, producer, actor, and director. He has received 67 nominations and 20 wins across his career, including being named Canadian Comedy Person of the Year in 2008 and 2009. This year is an awe-inspiring year for Rogen thanks to his2025 Emmy nominationsand two of his Apple TV+ comedies.

Platonic Season 2 Gives Seth Rogen Another Impressive RT Score For His Apple TV+ Shows
Seth Rogen already had a huge success earlier this year when season 1 of his new series, The Studio, received a 93% Rotten Tomatoes score. In addition to winning over critics and audiences,The Studiobeat out Ted Lasso for the Emmy recordof the comedy series with the most Emmy nominations in its debut season.
Now,Platonicseason 2 is giving the show a run for its money, getting a higher Tomatometer score than both season 1 andThe Studio. The comedy series just started releasing its second season, andit debuted with a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 18 reviews. For comparison,Platonicseason 1 gained a 93% based on 58 reviews.

Since the second season only debuted on Jun 15, 2025, the score very well may drop slightly. However, even if it stays on par with the first season, that will give Seth Rogen two of his bestRotten Tomatoesscores ever as an actor.
Rogen has a significantly better track record as an executive producer, garnering numerous scores in the 90% to 100% range. Still, I’m impressed that he has back-to-back shows with such high scores as well. It shows that he hasn’t lost his instincts for making excellent adult comedy series.

Apple TV+’s List Of Comedy Shows Keeps Getting Better
The success ofThe Studioseason 1 andPlatonicseason 2 proves thatApple TV+ has more to offer than justTed Lasso. Don’t get me wrong, that show is incredible. However, others deserve just as much appreciation. Around the same time thatTed Lassowas released, they put out the fantastic comediesTrying,Mythic Quest, andSchmigadoon!.
More recently, they’ve added the showsShrinking,The Studio,Love You to Death, andPlatonicto their catalogue ofApple TV+ original shows. The platform doesn’t receive nearly enough recognition when it comes to the comedy genre, but that could easily change if they keep putting out highly rated comedy hits.
