10Complete Spike’s First Mission
After completing the prologue, players can find the quest “First Assignment,” which is a quest given out by Spike. This quest is a rather simple one to follow and has the player embark on a relatively safe mission. One of the most vital mechanics inDying Lightis crafting. Players can craft anything from medkits to deadly weapons. Materials are everywhere inDying Light, so players should be looting at every opportunity they get. Whether that comes from a set of drawers or the trunk of a car, it really doesn’t matter.
Merchants also sell materials and it’s best to stock up on these as well. Players will soon be brimming with blueprints to utilize on their many weapons, and, by having enough materials, they can maximize the efficiency and power of their weapons and gear early on in the game.
3Avoiding Combat
There is no shame in retreat inDying Light. It’s much better than being eaten alive. Players may find themselves overrun and with little resources and weapons to defend themselves. Harran is a dangerous place thanks to the many undead hordes and avoiding them is the safest way to progress.
Although there is XP to be gained from fighting, it is not nearly enough to warrant fighting infected. Players should focus more on the parkour aspects of the game - especiallythe grappling hook- while saving the durability of their weapons for threats that cannot be outrun.

Parkour and the Agility skill tree go hand-in-hand inDying Light.One of the game’s core mechanicsis the ability to run, jump and climb across the rooftops of Harran. Regular infected can’t climb, which means that if the player finds themselves in a pickle, then climbing up to the rooftops is the best way to safety.

Not only are rooftops great for getting out of a jam, but they’re also the best way to travel. Running and jumping across rooftops is the fastest and most efficient way to get to where the player needs to go and can help them to avoid much-unwanted confrontation with the brisling infected streets.
1Fight The Night
Players should not be fooled by the primary warning thatDying Lightteaches them. As players experience their first few days and nights inDying Light, they might find characters and tutorials teaching them to stay clear of the streets when the moon rises. They should ignore this warning.
Loot is a lot better at night, even if the world is a lot deadlier.
