During Bethesda’s E3 2017 Showcase a new expansion for thecollectible card gameThe Elder Scrolls: Legendswas announced. IntroducingHeroes of Skyrim, the first expansion for Bethesda’sElder Scrolls-themed game.Heroes of Skyrimwill be adding over 150 new cards when it launches on June 29 and will focus on mechanics familiar to players of the latest majorElder Scrollstitles. That includes shouts, dragons, and companions whose names should be etched in memory.

According to Bethesda, the Companions will offerunique gameplay inThe Elder Scrolls: Legends. They’ll be a spin on the Change ability from The Fall of the Dark Brotherhood adventure. What that means is that Companions will change into a Beast Form when a rune is broken. Naturally, Beast Forms will be stronger than their non-beast normal forms, even giving access to new abilities that can be triggered.

Some of the companions and characters that will be introduced inHeroes of Skyrimwill be easily recognizable to fans. Bethesda supplied a short list of some of those characters. Dragons including both Alduin and Paarthurnax will be included, “appear[ing] across all attributes.” And then allies including Aela the Huntress, J’Zargo, and Delphine. Considering some of the names they could have dropped that are more popular, this news bodes well for more niche characters.

While Bethesda doesn’t go too much further into detail regarding whatThe Elder Scrolls: Legendsplayers can expect from the expansion, they do name-drop at least two other themes forHeroes of Skyrim– the College of Winterhold and the Civil War. Obviously, fora game as large asSkyrimthere’s a lot of content to cover. With 150 unique cards hopefully everyone’s favorite character, location, side-story, or event gets acknowledged in some way.

Heroes of Skyrim,The Elder Scrolls: Legendsfirst card-focused full expansion, will be available starting June 29.The Elder Scrolls: Legendsis currently availableon PC and mobile devices.
