When it launched early in 2016,The Divisionwent on to become a massive hit for Ubisoft. While the game broke records for the company, the development team as Massive showed their commitment to the game with constant updates well into its second year of life. While most fans expected to seeThe Division 2officially revealed in full at Ubisoft’s E3 2018 press conference, theinitial debut trailer honor was given to Microsoft. After the first cinematic trailer and gameplay footage was revealed, Ubisoft announced that a beta is on the way.

Following the initial reveal, Ubisoft launched the official website forThe Division 2, giving fans easy access to watch the cinematic or gameplay trailers once more. While not mentioned at the Microsoft event, Ubisoft posted information on an upcoming beta for the game, following in the footsteps of its predecessor.

Unfortunately, details for what’s inside of the beta as well as when it begins are non-existent right now. Ubisoft has promised more information at a later date, but for now, players can register for a chance to participate. With the gamescheduled for release next March, players shouldn’t expect to hear any information on this anytime soon.

As rumored prior to E3,The Division 2moves the action down southfrom New York to Washington, DC. According to the trailer, Washington DC is on the brink of collapse where lawlessness and instability have taken hold following the outbreak. All active Agents are called in to fight back and save the city from various new groups who have popped up including a band called the True Sons.

The Division 2will be released on July 30, 2025 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
