When it was announced thatBanjo and Kazooiewere coming toSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, many were overwhelmingly excited for it given the duo’s ten-year absence from the gaming scene in a significant sense. Now after aleak Banjo and Kazooie were cominga while back, they’ve joined the fight, and many are happily playing as the duo. One player has now found a neat easter egg regarding them inSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Although aBanjo-Kazooiegame might have beenmissing from E3 2019, their addition toSuper Smash Bros. Ultimatewas no small event. Twitter user im saltwas the one to point this out when posting a clip of this easter egg. Specifically, he posted a clip comparing Kazooie’s Rapid Jab move to that of the theme fromBanjo-Kazooie.
Pointing out the two noises sync up “too well to be a coincidence,” im salt says that “Rapid Jab” is identical to the rhythm of the banjo in theSuper Smash Bros. Ultimateversion of theBanjo-Kazooietheme. Im salt expressed their surprise at the fact that nobody had addressed this before. As can be seen in the clip, Banjo swings his fists a couple of times before allowing Kazooie to mercilessly attack opponents in quick succession with her beak. As pointed out by the comparison, the rhythm of Kazooie attacking with her beak sounds uncannily similar to the banjo’s rhythm.
If Banjo and Kazooie’s simply being added wasn’t good enough, this easter egg is sure to help warm players' hearts. The series is held near and dear to many fans, and many are still waiting patiently for aproper series sequel withBanjo-Threeieor something of that nature. As such, the characters' additions toSuper Smash Bros. Ultimateshould be, at the very least, seen as a blessing, especially when it comes to easter eggs thrown in like this one.
