After getting through the Forest Maze and the events at Rose Town,Super Mario RPGplayers can enter an area called Pipe Vaults to find a mole with aGoomba Thumping minigame. This guide will show players where to find the mole’s challenge andthe rewardsfor fully completing it.
Where’s the Goomba Thumping Game?
Enter thePipe Vaultlocation, which is to the left of Rose Town on the world map. If the area isn’t accessible yet, continue the main story. Once there, follow these steps to get to the mole man:

Goomba Thumping Explained and Rewards
The mole’sGoomba Thumping challenge inSuper Mario RPGwill require players tojump on top of Goombasthat are coming in and out of green pipes. Normal Goombas are worth one point; gold ones are worth three points, and if players hit a spiky enemy, they’ll lose a point. The challenge’s target scores are pretty easy to overcome, especially the first few, but in order to achieve all prizes, being fast and chaining jumps might be required.
The minigame’s first target score will be 20 and will go all the way up to 30. The prizes for reaching each score are as follows.
Players will need to cough up some coins in order to partake in the challenge. Also, once players hit the 30 Target Score, the rest of the prizes will just be Frog Coins. It’s also worth noting that the prizes cannot be obtained in a single run, so players must repeat the process a couple of times to get everything.
