A crossover jam of gaming’s best musical talents

They gathered some of the best music talents throughout game history, from the NES era through to the modern indie scene. On the composer side, we’ve got Manami Matsumae (Mega Man,Shovel Knight), Keiji Yamagishi (Ninja Gaiden), Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), Austin Wintory (Journey), Eirik Suhrke (Spelunky), and Module (Shatter,Robot Unicorn Attack 2). On the music arranger side, we’ve gotABSRDST,Ben Briggs,halc, Danimal Cannon (Armcannon,Metroid Metal), Stemage (Metroid Metal), Cory Johnson (post-rockZeldaalbum), andVideo Game Orchestra. And that’s not even the full lineup!

World 1-2‘s 20 tracks span all manner of genres and consist of original numbers as well as game arrangements, sourcing titles likeMetroid Prime,Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP,Super Mario World,Dear Esther,Tetris, and the Famicom-onlyCaptain Tsubasa II, curiously enough.
