Reeling in all sorts of aquatic creatures is joy in its own right, but not everyone may find it as fun as others do. Still, the waters around the peaceful are bountiful andhave plenty to offer, even for those who don’t want to sink as much time into them.

This is wherefishing netscome in. These handy tools let players passively collect fish and other random loot that might be underwater. However, there is a bit of confusion regarding how to use these inSun Haven, so here’s a quick guide on how to do just that.
How to Use Fishing Nets in Sun Haven
Small and Large Fishing Nets can be purchased fromPeter’s Fishing Storeby the pier or crafted at aLoom, and they can only be placed ina very specific spotwithin the Sun Haven Farm. They cannot be used in the ocean or in any other bodies of water anywhere else in the world, not even the Nel’Vari farm. Players who want to gather fish from these external sources will have to do so manually by grabbing a fishing rod and doing the mini-game until they get what they need.
To use fishing nets inSun Haven, simply approachthe pondon the western side of the farm and place the nets down like any other piece of furniture. They will catch fish over time, as indicated by the progress meter to their right. This usually finishes within a day’s time, so make sure to place nets early and check on them the next day. Players who want to have multiple fishing nets active at a time will need to purchase Fishing Permits from Peter’s store. They come in three different tiers, with the last one allowing players to have up to six nets active simultaneously.
Instead of fish, Small Fishing Nets have a chance to catch random junk like Old Boots, Tin Cans, and Sand Dollars. Large nets have better odds of actually cashing fish, but their progress bars take more time to fill.
As ofSun Haven1.03, Fishing Nets are best treated asa passive income sourcealongside farming. It’s best to leave them alone while players go out in the world to do something else.
