This is going to be a treasure trove

It’s tough to fully appreciate the craftsmanship inCuphead‘s art design when you’re battling bosses or running and gunning through foe-filled gauntlets. With that in mind, I’m looking forward to cozying up withThe Art of Cuphead, a 264-page hardcover art book from Studio MDHR and Dark Horse.

We’ve known about the book for quite a while–pre-orders opened all the way back in October 2019–but this week, there’s a neat (albeit slight) update. The game’s creators previewed several pages.

And the second set covers Elder Kettle’s house, complete with a nod to dear old Cranky Kong.

I’m excited to glean more behind-the-scenes details in the full book, which is due out August 06, 2025. If you’re thinking of pre-ordering,AmazonhasThe Art of Cupheadlisted for $27.99– that’s 30% off.
