RELATED:Another Big Streamer Moves to Kick Following Twitch Ban
Irked by the bans, Fousey chose to bid farewell to Twitch and signed with Kick, the new and emerging platform that has poached many notable streamers, including Adin Ross, Trainwreck, Hikaru Nakamura, and Ac7ionman. On August 23,during his Kick IRL subathon, Fousey was visibly scared and kept repeating that he had a stalker who also knew his hotel room number.
Fousey, who has beenswatted many times like other streamers, then proceeded to dial 911, telling them he was in a hostage situation and had a gun to his head, even though that wasn’t the case. After spending some time convincing the dispatcher that his life was indeed in danger, four Miami police officers finally showed up to his hotel room. That’s when he claimed that his mother was in danger and someone was calling and threatening her.
Since he refused to calm down, the cops had no option but to handcuff and restrain him. Even as he was being escorted out of his hotel room, Fousey kept hurling expletives at the cops. A few hours later, the Miami Police Department spoke to several news outlets, stating how Fousey wasn’t detained; rather, the cops decided he should be taken for a mental health evaluation because of his interaction with them. Therefore, Fousey was taken to a hospital for evaluation. With this arrest, Fousey joins the list of streamers who werearrested during a livestream.
With several new streaming platforms taking center stage and amassing a huge following, streamers leave no stone unturned in keeping their viewers hooked, no matter how controversial or bizarre it may seem. While Fousey has been vocal about his mental health struggles, some people claim that he “swatted himself.” Fans can only wait to hear from him or see where this story heads.
