Earlier this month, Nintendo announced thatSplatoon 2’sSplatfest event is making a returnjust in time for Halloween. True enough, Splatfest is live right now, and the Halloween festivities will continue until November 1st.

Similar toSplatfest Halloween 2018, this year’s event will haveSplatoon 2players pick between Team Trick and Team Treat in an epic battle. Throughout the 2-day event, Inkopolis Square will be filled with Halloween decorations, and characters will be seen sporting their best costumes. During the last Splatfest, Team Treat emerged as the winner, but players loyal to Team Trick can easily change history by participating in the latest Halloween event.

Now, players interested in joining the Halloween festivities must first choose their team via the voting terminal in Inkopolis Square and then head into Turf War matches throughout the event. All players who will participate will receive Super Sea Snails once Splatfests ends. These items can be used to add new ability slots to a specific piece of gear or re-roll an item that has already been maxed out. Before the event, Nintendo had been giving out Halloween-themed gear that players can wear inSplatoon 2. Players can obtain these items from the Switch News channel and choose from the Kyonshi Hat, Lil’l Devil Horns, Hocke Mask, and the Anglerfish Mask.

Although Nintendo has been hosting a handful of Splatfest reruns this year, the company announced that a brand-new Splatfest event is scheduled next year. In January,Splatoon 2players can expect a specialMario-themed Splatfestin celebration of the franchise’s 35th anniversary. According to Nintendo, the upcoming event will see a battle between Super Mushrooms and Super Star, two of Mario’s most iconic power-ups.
