Ahead of the secondUbisoft Forward digital presented this Thursday, Ubisoft has confirmed that the anticipated naval combat game,Skull and Boneswill not be present as it undergoes some significant changes in a rebooted development.
In a blog post by creative director Elisabeth Pellen,Skull and Boneswas confirmed to be reshaped in a new vision. The game is said to be much grander is scope and requiring more time to develop. Though the game will not be at the digital event, Ubisoft indicatedSkull and Boneswill be shown again in the near future and be worth the wait.

The second Ubisoft Forward event will be filled with announcements of new games and updates on known ones. The first event revealed the existence ofFar Cry 6so an update to the game is expected as it nears its February 2021 release date. Ubisoft has promised some surprises so its possible that new IP is revealed at the event as well.
Among the announcements expected at the event is a return ofImmortals: Fenyx Rising, formally known asGods & Monsters.Immortals: Fenyx Risingis an open-world game with a Greek mythology influence, developed by Ubisoft Quebec who last worked on another Greek inspired title,Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The game features a graphic style akin to Nintendo’s ownLegend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Meanwhile recent reports from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier indicate that a reboot ofPrince of Persiawill be revealed at the Ubisoft Forward digital eventthis Thursday. ThePrince of Persiaseries has not seen a console entry in 10 years with the last release beingPrince of Persia: The Forgotten Sandsin 2010. Since then, the series has been relegated to mobile devices and VR experiences.
