Wordleis a simple, browser game that challenges players to guess a mystery word in only six tries. There is only one, five-letter English word to guess per day, making it both interesting and fast to play. This along with its easy share-ability on social media made this easy-to-play game go viral early in 2022; it got so popular that theNew York Times Games purchasedWordleback in February. The newspaper’s version is the original one and is the subject of this article. Other versions will mostly likely have different answers and might even have slightly different rules.
