Dusk Golem doesn’t have anything else to add, other than that the new game’s name is said to beSilent Hill. That’s not exactly an inspired title, but does add credence to the idea that it’s a soft reboot. Though it’s also just evidence of how far theSilent Hillfranchisehas fallen out of the gaming industry discourse.

For those unfamiliar with the background of thisSilent Hillrumor, there’s only a little bit more information to share. Konami was said to have reached out around two years ago, looking for a partner forSilent Hill. Sony took them up on the offer, assigning theSiren/Gravity Rushdevelopment team to theSilent Hillproject. TheGravity Rushteam being led by the director of the originalSilent Hillgame. It’s all just a big rumor until officially announced, though, so it’s worth taking with a grain of salt.
