Resident Evil 3 Remake Images Tease Jill's Weapons

Since the official announcement ofResident Evil 3’s remake, many have been dissecting thetrailer that was released during the most recent State of Play. From elements like the improved character models to many more components, people have shown acute attention toward the tiniest of details in the trailer and available footage, including evidence of the types of weapons that players may see in the game.

EachResident Evilgame features avariety of weapons, and eagle-eyed Twitter user Where’s Barry has been able to identify at least two types of weapons that will be in the remake. Largely, they are unsurprising.

A tweet from Where’s Barry presenting evidence of one of the game’s weapons can be seen below.

In the above screenshot tweeted by Where’s Barry, series protagonistJill Valentineappears to be running past a box of ammo titled “Steel Boy.” It’s logical to assume the box of ammunition is that of shotgun ammo, given the apparent shotgun shells in front of the box and the green color of the box, which is the usual case for found shotgun ammo in theResident Evilseries.

A second screenshot from gameplay of theResident Evil 3remake was tweeted, illustrating another weapon that will likely be in the game. The tweet can be seen below.

Where’s Barry points out from the get-go that the red box of ammo circled in the photo is that of handgun ammo, which is in keeping with previous appearances of handgun ammo in theResident Evilseries. However, Where’s Barry specifies that it will be American Standard handgun ammo. In any regard, it looks very similar to handgun ammo boxes found in otherResident Eviltitles. As such, it is nearly a given that there will be some type of handgun in the game.

All that can hoped is thatResident Evil 3comes with and rightly executes all of the content that made the original so beloved and that itsinclusion ofResident Evil Resistancemakes the rather shortResident Evilgame more worth it.

Resident Evil 3will release July 08, 2025, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
