TheResident Evil 3remake will offer two new dodge attacks for players to use against enemies, a developer has confirmed. Capcom has made several changes to the game compared to the original release, like the decision to makeNemesis a much scarier enemy.
Speaking to the Official Xbox Magazine in issue 188, April 2020,Resident Evil 3remake producer Peter Fabiano revealed that the game will have two attacks, one called the Quick Step and one called Perfect Dodge. While fans may have dodged enemy attacks inResident Evil 3, these allow fans to “play it a lot more along the lines of an action game if you like.” With the Quick Step, players can dodge an enemy attack in any direction, and the Perfect Dodge means that enemies take longer to recover from a missed attack if players do it right.

Players may need to use these new attacks regularly if they are to get away fromResident Evil 3’s more difficult enemies. Capcom has changed the way that Nemesis acts, and while he can’t get into safe rooms as some rumors had suggested, he canquickly run towards playersand moves far faster compared toResident Evil 2’s Mr. X.
There are alsoResident Evil 3screenshotsthat show Nemesis with Jill Valentine in the air, and another where the enemy is holding a rocket launcher. Any enemy with these attacks would be difficult to fight, but as Nemesis is so smart, it makes it much more difficult.
These aren’t the only changes that Capcom is making with theResident Evil 3remake, as there have been confirmed changes to the game’s story. Capcom has chosen tofeature NPC Dario Rosso much morein the remake compared to the first release of the game. Rosso’s story is not a positive one, but it does show players just how sad and scary the events of theResident Evilseries are.
It seems like the remake will offer fans who have played all of theResident Evilgames a huge number of new things to enjoy. TheResident Evil 3remake won’t just be a better-looking version of a game released in the ’90s. The story changes, the new attacks, and the release of theResident Evil Resistancemultiplayerwill all give fans hours more gameplay in the series that they love.
Resident Evil 3launches on April 3 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
