Yes, that was Kevin Sorbo of Hercules

Wow. I hadcompletelyforgotten a)Cloudberry Kingdom, that brutal-looking platformer with randomly-generated levels, even exists and b) that it was originally funded viaKickstarter— with a $20,000 goal, no less. Guess what? It’s out this week! On PlayStation Network (today), Xbox Live Arcade/Steam (July 31), and Wii U eShop (August 1). There’s also a PlayStation Vita version planned for “later this year.”

This should appeal to those of us who enjoy the challenge of, say,Super Meat Boywith the unpredictability of recent roguelikes. I still think the art style is a bit gross, but it’s better than the original pitch forCloudberry Kingdomand it does get the job done. More than anything, I’m dying to give the co-op a try. There’s going to be lots of yelling. Sorry, neighbors.
