A specific removal date has not been announced at the time of this writing, but chances are good they will be dropped in the middle of August, whenever thenew batch of PS Plus Extra and Premium gamesare added.

There are some significant titles being removed from the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers in August 2023. Theheadliner is easilyBorderlands 3, Gearbox’s big co-op first-person shooter game that earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its release in 2019 and was one of the year’s most successful titles. The sheer amount of contentBorderlands 3brings to the table means its removal from the PS Plus lineup will definitely sting for some fans.
Nidhogg, meanwhile, may not be nearly as famous asBorderlands 3, but it’s still a high quality experience that is sad to see removed from the PS Plus lineup.Fans of theYakuzafranchisewill be disappointed thatYakuza 0,Yakuza Kiwami, andYakuza Kiwami 2are all getting the boot, especially when one considers thatYakuza 0is often pointed to as one of the best games in the entire franchise.
