Pokemon GO’sTeam Rocket Invasionkicked off a few days ago and players have been able to head out into their communities and battle grunts at invaded Pokestops. Apparently, that was just the tip of the iceberg. After a dramatic Team Rocket countdown, Niantic has announced a surprise event taking place tonight for one hour. Get your battle roster ready and prepare to defend your town, trainers. Team GO Rocket is here.
The surprisePokemon GOcountdown started yesterday around the same time thatTeam Rocket grunts were spotted “vandalizing"Pokemon GOposters in New York City. Niantic is really going all out with the build up for this Rocket Invasion and the community seems to be eating it up.

The event takes place on July 28 from 4-5pm local time. During that hour, ALL Pokestops will be invaded. Team GO Rocket will also be Photobombing snapshots and triggering Meowth encounters, so don’t forget to take advantage of that opportunity, as well.
As encounters kick off, use this dialogue guide to figure out what kind of enemies you’ll be opposing and how to best build your roster of fighters:
DRAGON – ROAR! … How’d that sound?
FAIRY – Check out my cute Pokemon!
FIGHTING – This buff physique isn’t just for show!
FIRE – Do you know how hot Pokemon fire breath can get?
NORMAL – Normal doesn’t mean weak.
POISON – Coiled and ready to strike!
PSYCHIC – Are you scared of physics that use unseen power?
ROCK – Let’s rock and roll!
STEEL – You’re no match for my iron will!
WATER – These waters are treacherous!
Keep in mind that the hardest battles are Dragon, Fire, Flying, Grass, Normal, Poison, and Water. Prepare appropriate counters for those particular challenges or else your party is likely to get wiped out.
