Pokemon GOAdventure Week 2023 kicks off today in Niantic’s monster-catching mobile game, allowing players the chance to capture a couple of different Fossil Pokemon like Omanyte, Kabuto, Anorith, Cranidos, and many more. On top of the increased Fossil and Rock-type Pokemon spawns, trainers can battle Mega Tyranitar in Raids for the first time, and there are two new shiny Pokemon debuts:Tyrunt and Amaura.

There are also a bunch of different Research Tasks to complete for a variety of rewards, like theAdventures Near and Far event-exclusive Timed Research. The tasks and their respective rewards will disappear on August 2, 8 pm local time, so players should verify to complete them as quickly as possible. Once players complete the first step of the Adventures Near and Far research, they must choose one of two paths -theSightseeing Adventure or the Studious Adventure. The former focuses on tasks involving catching Pokemon, spinning PokeStops, and hatching eggs. In contrast, the latter is all about completing Field Research.
