Niantic has recently launched a new in-game event inPokemon GOcalled Stardust Blast. The new event offers tons of surprises and opportunities for a limited time as it introduced two new creatures in the game from Gen 4.
The first Pokemon to be added with the Stardust Blast Event is Buiziel, which is a water-type Pokemon that resembles a mix between a weasel and sea otter. Although Buiziel was already spotted in the game previously, players are now reporting that the creature seemingly disappeared and may have been removed. Others speculate that Niantic may have released the water-type Pokemon by mistake.
The second creature from Gen 4 to be added inPokemon GOis Budew, which is the pre-evolved form of Roselia and is a 5 KM egg hatch. The introduction of both creatures couldn’t have come at a better time as Niantic recently released the new Adventure Sync feature that allowed players to hatch Eggs more easily. Moreover, Niantic revealed on Twitter that besides the two new species of Pokemon, the Stardust Blast Event will double the amount of Hatch Stardust and Catch Stardust that players can earn during the duration of the event, which will run from November 7 until November 13 at 1 PM PST.
A couple of days ago, Niantic released ashiny version of both Cubone and Ponytain the game, which players quickly confirmed on Reddit. Niantic also increased the spawn rates of these two creatures for a limited time, which is still active today. While collecting a shiny Pokemon doesn’t add value to the trainer in battle, it still provides a fun challenge to the game and adds variety to the gameplay.
This weekend, Niantic will holdPokemon GO’sNovember Community Day, which will allow players to catch as many Gen 2 creatures as possible, in a span of three hours, to expand their collection.
