Fire-type Pokemon were always rare in the originalPokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.Now, with the inclusion of the Grand Underground, players can get more than just Chimchar and Ponyta inPokemon Brilliant DiamondandPokemon Shining Pearl. Because of this, it’s a good idea to give Fire-type Pokemon an item to help boost their Fire-type moves.
While Fire-type Pokemon are a bit more common inBrilliant DiamondandShining Pearl, the Charcoal item is not. There are three ways to get Charcoal, but two methods aren’t available until after the Elite Four, and the other method is luck-based and version-exclusive.
