Unlike Instrumental Wonders,Incense plays a bigger role in Phantom Ruins, giving players more opportunities to encounter rarer pocket monsters. For example, catching any Pokémon, not just the featured ones from the event, comes with a higher Catch XP bonus because the event is live.
All Wild Spawns & Debuts During The Phantom Ruins Event
Encounter Spooky And Ancient Pokémon As You Travel
Going around PokeStops and traveling while the Phantom Ruins event is active will lead to you encountering rarer Pokémon than usual.Certain wild encounters appear more often during the event, with a much larger variety of Pokémon in Phantom Ruins than in past events. While some Pokémon you’ll run into are common within the event, others are much harder to find.
Every Pokémon found from wild spawns in Phantom Ruins has a chance to be a Shiny variant. This should encourage you to go after as many encounters as you can while the event lasts to get Shiny versions of rarer Pokémon.

Although it is a matter of chance that determines what Pokémon you run into, some of the featured creatures in the event will appear more often in specific location types. Once you have an idea where certain Pokémon might spawn, you might find these wild spawns appearing often in Phantom Ruins:
Sableye and Chimecho are the rarest Pokémon you’ll find during Phantom Ruins, despite at least one of these Pokémon showing up in past months as aRaid Boss inPokémon GO.The variety of typings on each featured Pokémon gives you plenty of creatures to add to your collection, with many having strong potential of evolution. Many of the final forms of the Pokémon you catch in the event can be used to defeat other trainers or raid bosses later.

Some Pokémon from wild spawns in the event are exclusively tied to Incense, only appearing when you use a fragrance to attract them. While some of the Incense Pokémon are also encountered normally throughout the event, Incense makes them more likely to show up in an encounter. Here are all the Pokémon you can catch by using Incense to lure them into encounters:
As you can see, both Rufflet and Greavard are only encountered through Incense; they do not show up through any other normal event encounter. While Rufflet can be encountered as a Shiny Pokémon, Greavard doesn’t have a variant you can find.
All Pokémon Raid Bosses During The Phantom Ruins Event
Challenge One New Gigantamax Starter Evolution
There aren’t as many raid bosses in the Phantom Ruins event, but there is one new Max Battle Pokémon you can challenge.Gigantamax Inteleon makes their debut in the event as a 6-star Raid Boss, becoming the last of the Galar region starter evolutions to have aGigantamax battle inPokémon GO.
Like all Max Battles, you can only face off against Gigantamax Inteleon with Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon of your own. Max Monday events that take place weekly give plenty of chances for players to pick up an extra-large-sized companion. In fact, during the Phantom Ruins event, it will continue on a Monday where another Pokémon will be available for you to catch and use against Gigantamax Inteleon.
As a pure Water-type, Gigantamax Inteleon has a few type weaknesses that you can exploit to beat it quickly.Having a Gigantamax Rillaboom on your team is a great choice against this boss, as Inteleon is weak to Rillaboom’s Grass-type attacks.
Youneed at least three other trainers to fight Gigantamax Inteleon, as only teams of four can go up against a Max Battle boss. Once you collect enough Max Particles to activate a Gigantamax Inteleon Power Spot, you and your friends will build Max Meter to take down this foe. verify to organize your team into specific roles to help you win the battle and capture Gigantamax Inteleon for yourself.
