Update #21 has hit the PC version ofPlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, bringing with it a number of fixes but also a new training mode and island. It also introduces new vehicles, new weapons, a new weapon attachment, a new reward system, and more multiplayer improvements. While all of this will go a long way in the quality of life for this battle royale game, the training mode is what stands out the most.
Introduced alongside a new island, this new training mode allows players to practice various mechanics such as driving, shooting, and free-running.PUBGplayers will likely enjoy the chance to work on their gameplay skills before dropping into another match, as developing battle royale skills can be somewhat challenging in a regular match. Check out the Training Island below:

As seen in the map, it features a number of practice areas: Sweet Stunt Ramps, Vehicle Track, Racing Track, Open Water, Off-Road, Garage, CQC Area, Parkour Area, Throwables Range, Parachute Practice, Melee Range, two shooting ranges, and an equipment table. Sadly, this new island is currently only available for PC players, meaning thatXbox One playerswill not yet have access to this training set-up.
Speaking of the Xbox One version, however, it’s worth mentioning thatthe achievements were glitchedwhen it fully launched, despite the game recently leaving early access. While PUBG Corp. is likely looking into a fix, console players may still be distraught. Hopefully, this training island also comes to the Xbox One sooner rather than later.
Especially consideringPUBG’slaunch on Xbox One wasone of the hottest releases set for September, many might feel slighted by this addition to the PC version. Regardless, this training island should hopefully help PC players improve their skills. Tell us, Ranters, what do you think of this latest update?
