It’s a great week to be aPersonafan as Atlus announce two newDancing All Nightspin-off titles,Persona 5: Dancing Star NightandPersona 3: Dancing Moon Night, slated to release next year. This news comes alongside the exciting revelation of a sequel to handheld titlePersona Qwhich will be making an appearance on the Nintendo 3DS and the recent announcement of ananime seriesfor the fifth installment in the franchise.

The two games seem to be releasing side-by-side and will feature the casts ofPersona 5andPersona 3respectively. If the previous dance-themed spin-off,Persona 4: Dancing All Nightis anything to go by, the games will be canon additions to the original stories, with the much-loved casts finding a whole new, unconventional way to battle the menacing shadows.

It’s admittedly a strange concept for a game, but those who played thePersona 4edition will know that the rhythm game actually works surprisingly well. It will be interesting to see what the gameplay is like when the “best RPG of all time” gets theDancing All Nighttreatment.

Another interesting development is that both titles will be coming to PlayStation 4 as well as PS Vita, despitePersona 5being console exclusive andPersona 4: Dancing All Nightonly releasing on the Vita. Fans who have long-requested morePersonatitles coming to the legacy handheld device will be pleased to see that Atlus has not forgotten about them and the possibility of getting an updatedPersona 5on Vita seems more likely than ever.

It seems that the title’s official website has gone up early, alongside the game’s reveal at thePersonaSuper Live P-Sound Bomb!!!!! 2017 concert. Although the release is currently set for Spring 2018, Atlus have a history with delays when it comes toPersonatitles, so it’s best to anticipate possible delays before getting too excited about the nearby release date.
