Heroes of the Stormjust launched its major 2.0 update and is holding a newOverwatch-themed event where playerscan unlock new Genji and D.Va skins. TheHeroes of the Storm 2.0update focuses mainly on revamping the game’s meta progression and monetization systems.

Blizzard’s new focus is clearly much more on gaining new players as well as retaining them. AdoptingOverwatch’s Loot Box system, now in the form of Loot Chests, is one of them. Apparently rewardingOverwatchloot directly works pretty well, too.

Unlike priorHeroes of the Stormevents, Nexus Challenge 2.0 is extremely simple and doesn’t require much time investment. Each week for the next four weeks a new quest will unlock the week’s given quest, and gamers can earn the quest’s rewards by playing 5 matches with a friend in Quick Match, Unranked, and Ranked modes.

It’s worth mentioning that playing against AI will only work for the very first week, and that all four quests will remain open until March 22 after they have unlocked. That being said, players must complete each quest in order, so unlocking all of the rewards will require a total of 20 games.

All four weeks feature a combination ofHeroes of the StormandOverwatchloot, though certain weeks offer more substantial rewards than others. Here’s what players can expect as a reward for each week’s quest completion:

The Nexus Challenge  2.0 event is both a celebration of theHeroes of the Storm 2.0soft relaunch and the addition of a ton ofOverwatch-related content. Both Genji and, just announced today, D.Vaare being added to the MOBA’s roster. Genji is even available to play right now, with D.Va coming soon.

Non-Overwatchfans also have the Hanamura Battleground to look forward to, which pushes opposing teams to deliver multiple payloads in order to win.
