Yesterday, Blizzard released a new short story expanding on the lore ofOverwatchthat focused on healer-sniper Ana and popular DPS character Soldier: 76. While the biggest news from the story was definitely the revelation thatSoldier: 76 is gay, it also gave fans a look at a new Ana skin based on her appearance in the Bastet story, which can be unlocked in the game now.

The new Bastet skin for Ana can be unlocked inOverwatchby completing the Bastet Challenge. Basically, players have to win games in Quick Play, Arcade, or Competitive Play between now and January 21 to claim the skin. After winning three matches, they will unlock a new player icon, and after six victories, they will unlock a kneeling victory pose for Ana. Upon winning nine matches,Overwatchplayers will finally unlock the epic-tier Bastet skin.

The Bastet Challenge isn’t just about playingOverwatch, though. It also rewards players for watching certain streamers on Twitch. The list of eligible streamers can be foundhere, with players earning exclusive sprays for logging a certain number of hours watching the streams.

Ana’s Bastet Challenge is a unique in-game event forOverwatchin that it is smaller in scale, yet still comes with a valuable reward. Most of the timeOverwatchplayers are at the mercy of the game’s loot boxes when it comes to unlocking event skins, but Ana’s Bastet Challenge instead lets players get their hands on a new skin by racking up victories in the game.

It will be interesting to see ifOverwatchruns similar events in the future, but in the meantime, fans can still expect the hero-based shooter to host its traditional seasonal events as well. In fact,Overwatch’sannual Lunar New Year eventis expected to start in early February, to be followed by an Overwatch Archives event some time in April.

Between all these events and the promise of new heroes and maps, it seemsOverwatchfans will have a lot to look forward to throughout 2019.

Overwatchis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
