One Piece Episode 1132 Review: A Perfect Delivery On The Anime’s Most Tragic Moment
One Piece Episode 1132 In Review
After a largely middling episode with episode #1131,One Piecemore than delivered with episode #1132. The animation, music, and overall direction all did wonders to convey not only the sadness of Ginny’s death, but also the joy of Kuma’s new life with Bonney, followed by the newfound dread as he realizes even that might be lost to him.One Pieceepisode #1132 managed to deliver on every emotional moment with nothing but the utmost craft, much of which can be attributed to episode director Sho Inuzuka, and overall, it was great to watch.
The biggest standout of episode #1132, however, was undoubtedly Kuma’s voice actor, Hideyuki Hori. For over 20 years now, Hori has mostly only had to deliver lines from Kuma’s stoic personality, so episode #1132 was the first time he got to portray Kuma with more range, and sure enough,Hideyuki Hori did a phenomenal job of selling the wide range of emotions that truly define Kuma’s character. The rest of Kuma’s backstory will only give Hori more time to shine inOne Piece, and if episode #1132 is anything to go on, that’s something everyone should look forward to.

What Happened In One Piece Episode 1133?
Produced By Toei Animation; Directed By Toshinori Fukasawa
One Pieceepisode #1133, “To Save His Daughter - Kuma the Timid Pacifist”, picked up where episode #1132 left off, with King Bekori brutally slaughtering the citizens of Sorbet’s impoverished south to decrease population size and, therefore, decrease the Heavenly Tribute. Kuma, furious at Bekori’s actions, marched to his palace, single-handedly defeated his army, and forced him into exile. Kuma became an even bigger hero in the eyes of the populace, and as thanks for his actions,Kuma was named the new king of the Sorbet Kingdom.
Sometime later, Kuma was shocked to discover that Bonney had somehow eaten the Devil Fruit known as the Age-Age Fruit, but before he could process it, Kuma learned that the World Government had branded Kuma a tyrant who took over Sorbet by force. A fleet of Marines was already on its way to help put Bekori back in power, so to protect Bonney and the rest of the kingdom,Kuma left the Sorbet Kingdom and put Bulldog, the king from two generations ago, back in power, and Kuma destroyed the fleet in a single attack as he left, as well.

Unable to return home for the time being, Kuma decided to travel the world in search of someone who might have a cure for Sapphire Scales, but no matter where he went, no one could help him. Just as the hopelessness of it all began to sink in, Kuma reunited withthe Revolutionary Armyand was advised by Dragon to visit his friend, Dr. Vegapunk, on the island that would later be known as Egghead. Kuma took Bonney there, and sure enough,Vegapunk told Kuma that he could cure Bonney’s Sapphire Scales.
Vegapunk’s plan to cure Bonney was to inject her with stem cells made from Kuma’s lineage factor, and after doing a blood test, Vegapunk was shocked to discover that Kuma was a Buccaneer. That, however, gave Vegapunk an idea: Vegapunk would create an army of clones of Kuma to protect the world from pirates, and in exchange, he would cure Bonney at no cost to Kuma.Kuma and Vegapunk’s deal to clone Kuma would eventually lead to the creation of the Pacifistas, and all of that was happening while they were unaware that St. Saturn had the room bugged.
