There was an incredible amount of content to digest with episode #1127, and episode #1128 will surely be even better to watch play out.

Overall,One Pieceepisode #1126 was a bit of a mixed bag. While the art and animation certainly weren’t bad and featured plenty of great scenes, there were just as many scenes with visuals that were mostly passable at best, with everything that happened with Kuma on Mary Geoise being the biggest offender.One Pieceepisode #1126’s biggest problem was that its animation wasn’t very impressive more often than not, and while that’s nothing new forOne Piece, it’s a shame to see it so soon into the anime’s return.
That doesn’t mean episode #1126 was a bad episode, of course. In addition to looking good more often than not, the drama and comedy were as fun to watch unfold as ever, with the episode even having a clever way of illustrating the eye-popping gag that always goes along with Gear 5, so overall,One Pieceepisode #1126, while not the best episode, made the most out of what was largely a transitional episode. Fortunately, episode #1127 followed things up with one of the best episodes in ages, and that made things more than worth sitting through.
What Happened In One Piece Episode 1127?

One Pieceepisode #1127, “Luffy vs. Kizaru! A Fierce Kaleidoscopic Battle”, continued where episode #1126 left off with Luffy, in his giant form, throwing Kizaru clear off Egghead. That was a temporary measure, of course, so before Kizaru could return, Atlas decided to head down to the Fabriophase and take back control of the Pacifistas to make their escape easier. At the same time, Vegapunk saw that Bonney had survived being kicked into the barrier thanks to Sentomaru, soVegapunk decided to head down to the Fabriophase with Atlas to help Bonney, with Sanji and Franky tagging along, as well.
Back with Kizaru, Kizaru quickly returned to Egghead, and upon doing so, he used his Glint-Glint Fruit to create an army of clones to fight Luffy. With Kizaru’s speed and overall power, the clones seemingly overwhelmed Luffy and forced him to fight defensively, but that, as it turned out, was a ruse for Luffy to get Kizaru and his clones lined up for an attack that would take them all out at once. Unfortunately,every Kizaru Luffy was fighting was a clone while the real one went off to Vegapunk’s lab, with him already attacking Usopp to get Vegapunk’s location.
Before Kizaru could go too far with Usopp or anyone else, Vegapunk and Atlas appeared in a tank and picked up Sanji and Franky to go to the Fabriophase. Kizaru shot a blast of light at the tank to kill them all, but Luffy somehow ate it, and the two resumed their fight. Thanks to that, Vegapunk’s group managed to make their way to the Fabriophase and order the Pacifistas to attack the Marines instead of them, and from there,One Pieceepisode #1127 ended on an ominous note of Saint Saturn preparing to join the battle.

As great as the fights between Luffy and Kizaru and Zoro and Lucci were, the biggest standout ofOne Pieceepisode #1127 had to be Bonney. Bonney was never given too many opportunities to fight in the manga, but by expanding on Bonney’s fight with the Marines,One Piece’s anime gave Bonney her best showing of all time by showing off her incredible physical prowess and creative handling of her Devil Fruit. Even the manga never showed off her power like that, so it made for another example ofhow greatOne Piece’s filler content can be.

Why One Piece Episode 1127 Is Such A Great Episode
There was plenty of hype forOne Pieceepisode #1127, and it more than delivered on all fronts. Narratively, not only is the story progressing with all the same great drama and comedy as the manga, but the anime managed to add even more to the writing by giving more scenes to characters like Franky and Sanji to further flesh out their arcs.The writing inOne Pieceepisode #1127 was great for both effortlessly adapting the manga and adding even more to it, and hopefully, there’s plenty more of that to come.
Naturally, the biggest standout ofOne Pieceepisode #1127 was with the animation. With legendary animator Akihiro Ota animating the fight scenes and series director Wataru Matsumi even personally directing the episode,One Pieceepisode #1127 had an incredible level of talent behind its production that left it as one of the best-directed and most visually gorgeous episodes of the entire anime.One Pieceepisode #1127 was the best episode sinceOne Piecereturned from hiatus, by far, and hopefully, fans can expect more episodes like it sooner, rather than later.
