Recently, it was found thatPaper Mario: The Origami Kingcontains a game-breaking bug destroying a player’s save towards the end of the game in the fifth and final streamer. The glitch forces players to delete their save file as the game misjudges how far players have progressed.

Nearing the end of the game, players enter the cave for the Spring of Rainbows where the secret passage lies, but, if the player exits the area after that point, they can no longer return. Nintendo is now working on fixing the bug in an upcoming software update. However, an exact date for this fix hasn’t been provided yet.

Following the news of the bug, a company representative released a statement saying, “We are aware of reports about issues affecting some players ofPaper Mario: The Origami King.We are working to resolve these issues and plan to address them in a software update. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Nintendo Support Forums recorded that many players encountered this glitch, which Nintendo Unity outlined on its YouTube channel. It noticed that the game removes the VIP card from the inventory after entering the secret passage, leaving them no way of regaining the VIP pass as the rest of the springs denyPaper Mariofrom punching the stamps again.

But don’t expect a fix forPaper Marioto take too long as Nintendo has been quick to solve these problems in the past. Until then, it is recommended that players start fresh, using this time tofind all the MAX UP Heartsin the game if they haven’t already, or uncover somethings that were missedthe first time around.
