Famitsu has released its findings on the most recent software sales for the week ending Jun 14, 2025, and Nintendo has yet again dominated. Just like theNintendo Switch accounted for 87% of all console sales in Japan in 2020, the Nintendo Switch accounted for 87% of the top 30 games sold over the past week in Japan, withSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furytaking the top spot.

After being number one last week, thehighly reviewedSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furyagain was the highest sold game in Japan for the week of February 15 through February 21 with 97,955 units sold. But along with the success of Mario and his pals, the Nintendo Switch commanded sales across the board. Of the top 30 games on the Famitsu list, Nintendo’s hybrid console charted with 26 games.

AfterSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furyat number one,Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban!is at number two. The third game isRing Fit Adventure, which should soon hit two million copies sold in Japan alone.Animal Crossing: New HorizonsandMario Kart 8 Deluxeare number four and five respectively, two mainstays on the list that are also the top two selling Switch games of all time.

Super Smash Bros Ultimateis the sixth highest-selling game, andSplatoon 2, which of course just received an announcement for a third entry into the now trilogy, is at number seven.MinecraftandPokemon SwordandShieldtake spots eight and nine respectively andLittle Nightmares 2rounds out the top ten, after being the second-highest selling game last week.

The first non-Switch game on the list is the PS4 version of the very well-receivedLittle Nightmares 2at number 14. Meanwhile,NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Editionis all the way down as the 25 best-selling game of the week next on the PS4.Nioh 2 Complete Editionat 28 andDragon Quest XI S at30, both on the PS4.
