The significant boost to his Twitter may be due to his original statement and Activision’s response both being posted on the social media platform where he now has over 2.1 million followers.
Because players withskins in games likeFortniteare known to make a percentage of money off the sales of their skins, it’s likely that NICKMERCS has taken a financial hit fromCall of Dutywhile seeing the social media boost. Given that Activision hasn’t clarified how long the NICKMERCS operator bundle would be removed fromCall of Duty, it’s currently unclear if it’s a permanent removal or if it will just be gone for June.
