Apex Legendsis one of the biggest multiplayer games around right now. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale is enjoyed by millions for its fast-paced tactical gameplay and a wide cast of Legends. The developer continues to improve on the game with new maps, weapons, content, and more. But one group that has been missing out on theApex Legendsfun has been the Nintendo Switch playerbase, but that is likely about to change.
Over the summer of 2020, Respawn announced that theNintendo Switch version ofApex Legendswas in development. Since then, players have been waiting for more information. And now, more evidence points to the fact that the Switch release could be right around the corner; just a week away, in fact.

A few weeks ago it was rumored that theNintendo Switch version ofApex Legendswould release as soon as July 15, 2025. This date would coincide with Season 8 ofApex Legends.The date came from YouTube descriptions that were since updated to no longer include the Switch information, but the damage was done. But now, even more data has come forth.
A Japanese Amazon listing (that is still live) for theApex - Champion Editionshows that same June 03, 2025 date; all but perhaps confirming that the Switch version ofApex Legendswill be released on that day. Of course,Apex Legendsis a free-to-play game, but theApex - Champion Editionsells via retailers as a version that instantly comes with Legends that would normally need to be unlocked and exclusive Legendary skins.
With Season 8 ofApex Legendsset to begin shortly, and that February 2 date just a week away, fans will find out soon if they will be able to play on Nintendo’s hybrid console or not. And withApex Legendscoming up on its two year anniversary, it will be exciting for Nintendo Switch players to be able to jump right in and have so many options as far as weapons, maps, Legends, and more.
