After a couple of successful beta tests last month, fans are now only two weeks away from taking down massive beasts inMonster Hunter World. Even though the game is packed with massive enemies, lots of gear, and a big world to explore, players are starting to discover that the file size is actually surprisingly small.

In a captured screenshot ofMonster Hunter World, the base version of the game will take up 16GB of hard drive space on the PlayStation 4. The details actually come from the Japanese box art, which displays the file size right on the back of the package. While all regional versions will likely be the same or at the very least similar, there’s always a day one patch or update that could push that number a little bit higher.

Interestingly enough, that number gets a little smaller over on the Xbox One side of things. On the product page of the Xbox Marketplace, Microsoft lists the approximate file size for the digital version of the game at 13.62GB. Of course, it’s worth keeping in mind that file size doesn’t go hand in hand with quality. For a game that’s seen by fans as pretty big, many have found it fairly surprising that the file size doesn’t come close to othersignificantly large games likeCall of Duty: WW2or evenInjustice 2.

With the release right around the corner, Capcom is hoping to draw some of the more jadedDestinyplayers away from Activision and Bungie. Last month, Game Director Yuya Tokuda mentioned in an interview thatDestinyplayers wouldfindMonster Hunter Worldvery easy to get intothanks in large part to the loot and gear system. WithDestiny 2in a state of flux at the moment, it’ll be interesting to see if this marketing push by Capcom pays off.

Monster Hunter Worldlaunches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26, followed by PC later in 2018.
