Alongside the gameplay updates and improvements, fourobscure new trophies/ achievements were also added for players to unlock. This guide will help players unlock the ‘It Spreads’ trophy / achievement, which requires them to kill a mob next to a sculk catalyst.

What Is A Sculk Catalyst?
Sculk catalysts are one ofmany strange new blocksfound in theDeep Darkcave biome. As one of the more harmless of the bunch, they effectively act as sculk block spreaders, and activate when something dies near them. Activated catalysts will:
As regular sculk blocks give players a small amount of experience points when mined, players may wish to grab the catalyst to create their own XP farms. While they can be destroyed easily, sculk catalysts will only drop a block to collect if they were broken witha pickaxe enchanted with silk touch. The best tool to quickly destroy sculk blocks with is, strangely, a hoe.
Killing a Mob Next To a Catalyst
While it is technically possible tokill a Warden(one of the few mobs that spawn in the Deep Dark biome) next to a sculk catalyst, players will no doubt want to get this trophy / achievement quickly and without the risk of dying that Wardens pose. The following strategies are recommended:
