On their own accord, Tony Stark, Riri Williams, and Forge rank among Marvel’s most formidable minds, and the result of combining them is theoretically unparalleled in Marvel history, at least in terms of raw intellectual power. In another context, this version of the trio could do some truly remarkable, groundbreaking things.

However, their role inGodzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe#2 is a glorified cameo. It introduces the idea of the Tony-Riri-Forge hybrid, but ultimately, the focus of the issue, as the title suggests, is on the King of Monsters. By design, Marvel’s greatest heroes are reduced tocanon fodder for the legendary Kaiju.

This is part of the miniseries’ appeal, of course, but it is fair to say that this unexpected new take on theFantastic Fourhas immediately left fans wanting more.
