MarvelEntertainment is producing a line of original podcast shows exclusively with SiriusXM. The catalog of audio shows will consist of new scripted and documentary series as well as ongoing podcasts.

Among the line up of new podcasts will be Marvel’sWastelanders, a multi-part scripted series focusing on older heroesincluding Star-Lord, Grey Widow, Old Man Hawkeye, and Old Man Logan. The series is currently scheduled to premiere exclusively on SiriusXM in 2021.

Additional new podcasts includeMarvel/Method, in which rapper Method Man discusses pop culture with guests, andMarvel’s Declassified, a nonfiction narrative show detailingthe history of Marvel Comics. The new shows will debut on SiriusXM on November 19 and December 8, respectively. “Marvel has always told stories to entertain and inspire. And just as Marvel’s stories began in the comics and grew into the rich universe we know today, we see audio storytelling as just the beginning of unlimited possibilities for our brand,” said Dan Buckley, President of Marvel Entertainment, in a statement. “Our fans are consuming content more than ever, and now wherever they are, they can explore the Marvel Universe through brand-new and ongoing podcasts that bring Marvel together with the world and people around us, along with exciting new scripted content coming on SiriusXM’s platform next year.”

The Marvel podcasts slated to debut on SiriusXM in December may make up for the lack of any MCU films or television shows in 2020. WhileWandaVisionhad been expected to debut on Disney+ in December, the series eventually landed aJanuary 2021 premiere date.

Marvel isn’t the only company looking to expand its library to include podcasts. DC Comics and WarnerMedia are producing ascripted Batman podcastwithBatman Beginswriter David S. Goyer for Spotify.
