Lately, it seems as ifTwitchstreamer Ludwig Ahgren can’t catch a break. His subathon from a couple of months backbroke records that thrust Ludwig to new heights of popularity, though the variety streamer has seen quite a few hiccups recently. Only a week after his 7-day ban from Instagram, Ludwig was handed a similar length ban from YouTube.
TheInstagram ban, while bizarre, was at least to be expected. Despite the joking nature of the photo, chances are it was deemed inappropriate as it was quickly pulled by Instagram. Though the exact reasons behind the post or exact rule violated by Ludwig haven’t been made clear, today marks the end of his ban from the social media platform. It’s incredible timing, as it appears that YouTube has handed down its own punishment to Ludwig as a result of one of his videos being flagged for “child safety.”

On Twitter, Ludwig confirmed that not only had he received a week-long ban, but wouldn’t be able to upload videos, making it the first time that he didn’t upload a video in almost 2 years. TheTwitchstreamer noted that it would effectively end his 618-day upload streak, making the affair a bit of a somber one for his fanbase.
Thankfully, directly tagging the Team YouTube Twitter account sparked an astonishingly quick response. Hours after Ludwig made the tweet, YouTube responded and confirmed that the video in question was passed to the team for review. Two hours after that, the team confirmed that Ludwig’s YouTube account had been restored and the video reinstated, though with an age restriction.
It’s anyone’s guess as to what rule was violated, although looking at Ludwig’s YouTube channel makes things a bit clearer. Recently, the Twitch streamer posted a video of his most recent showcase, where he tested out dog shock collars on himself. It would seem that the easy to obtain nature of dog collars from Amazon is a cause for concern for YouTube when it comes to children.Ludwig is a streamer who loves entertaining his audience, though, in comparison to Twitch, it may have just been a bit too far for YouTube.
One fact that can be fully debunked is that this likely isn’t connected to Ludwig’s Instagram ban. Both he and his girlfriend QTCinderella saw Instagram take action against them, but in QT’s case, it was due to malignant false reports. ForTwitchstreamer Ludwig, it would seem that his brand of humor is as crass as it iswholesomeand entertaining.
